A history of Messianic Pyramidology - the idea that the passages and chambers of the Great Pyramid were laid out on a chronological scale, with architectural features indicating important dates in Judaeo-Christian history contained in the Bible. The timeline covers such events as the Creation, the Exodus and the birth and death of Christ, extending forwards to the Millennium. The idea was introduced to Victorian readers by Charles Piazzi Smyth, and was modified and expanded upon in the 20th century by such authors as Morton Edgar, David Davidson and Adam Rutherford. The non-fulfilment of these theorists' predictions has left Messianic Pyramidology more or less.
